Jingning County was named by the Ministry of Commerce as the "National foreign trade transformation and upgrading Apple base". "Apple" strength into the international high-end market

Jingning County is located in the central part of Gansu Province, located in the Loess Plateau warm temperate sub-humid climate zone at 35 degrees north latitude. It has deep soil layer and abundant solar and thermal resources. The annual average temperature, rainfall, sunshine duration and other climatic conditions are very suitable for apple growth.

In March 2023, 100 boxes of "Jingning apples" arrived in Antarctica with China's 39th Antarctic expedition aboard the "Xuelong 2" polar research ship, making "Jingning apples" the first Chinese apple to reach the Antarctic.

In November 2022, 67.3 tons of Jingning fresh apples were exported to Indonesia. Since December 2022, Jingning Longyuan Red Fruit Distribution Co., Ltd. has resumed shipping to the Mexican market. At present, it has exported more than 260 tons of apples to Mexico.

In 2020, fresh apples worth about $104,000 were exported to Hong Kong. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of "South Asia" and "Central Europe" freight trains, the local quality and efficiency of Apple have been improved, and the strength of "Apple" has been advancing to the middle and high-end international market.

"Internet Plus foreign trade" opens up new channels for overseas markets

In recent years, Jingning has organized related enterprises to participate in online expo, and actively guided leading fruit enterprises to sign orders "online" of 600 tons through effective ways such as "line connection", "screen to screen" and online and offline two-way interaction, achieving zero breakthrough in the Middle East and North America market.

Jingning is the country's largest apple planting county, orchard area of more than 1 million mu, apple output of nearly a million tons, the realization of output value of 6 billion yuan, fruit income accounts for more than 70% of the county farmers per capita net income. As the number one representative of "sweet" agricultural products, "Jingning apple" is the first phalanx of Gansu fruit industry brand, has become an important pillar industry to boost the income of farmers to get rich.

In recent years, Jingning County has taken advantage of the preferential policies of foreign trade such as the national development of cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouses to win the support of provincial and municipal projects. Relying on the "Internet + foreign trade" mode, Jingning County has built 11 overseas warehouses, counters and other sales outlets in Nepal, Singapore and other countries, and the marketing network service system has been improved day by day.

Not only that, Jingning Apple is also exported to Bangladesh, Indonesia and other "Belt and Road" countries and regions through cross-border e-commerce mode. Cross-border e-commerce platform has become a new channel for fresh Apple to open up overseas markets.

Jingning County also launched the implementation of "Guiyan project", to increase investment, the development of apple intensive processing industry. Devote energy to shaping strong brand, docking well-known e-commerce platforms, developing Apple sales "overseas warehouse", and gradually realize the transformation of "Big Apple" to "big industry" and "big brand".

Gansu Apple export "main force" business to expand the world

Jingning apples are widely favored by the international market for their bright color, moderate sour and sweet, extremely durable storage and long-distance transportation. In order to help Jingning apples enter the international market more widely, the local government has actively expanded and established the "overseas warehouse" of apple sales in recent years, and exported the "poverty alleviation fruits" of tens of thousands of people who have become rich from this to other parts of the world.

"Jingning Apple" has won 8 national business cards and 17 awards. In 2022, it was selected into the list of national agricultural brand quality cultivation plan, with a brand value of 16.054 billion yuan. In the same year, it was awarded the world geographical indication industry green development demonstration brand.

In recent years, Pingliang has built 7 state-level standardized demonstration parks, 1 agricultural science and technology park, 1.1 million mu certified green fruit base and 270,000 mu export foreign exchange earning base around the construction of national high-quality fruit production base, export foreign exchange earning base.

Apple accounts for about 30% of the total value of Gansu's agricultural exports, and the export countries and regions have expanded to 25, most of which belong to the countries along the "Belt and Road".
